About the Owners

The Hawaiian islands, the California coast, Greece, Spain, Italy - yes, those are all the places we loved. As Canadians who were raised on the coast of British Columbia, we had a natural desire to live near the ocean. What we longed for was a tropical climate and warm seas. Our search to relocate with our two daughters and son-in-law eventually led us to Costa Rica. It was like turning the clock back to our travel adventures in the 60's and 70's: unspoiled nature, spectacular lonely beaches, and friendly people.

We settled in the North Pacific over a decade ago when we relocated our award-winning construction company from Vancouver. Our daughter Kelly and son-in-law Vince still build homes here, some of the most luxurious on what is famously known as the Gold Coast, the Costa Rican Riviera, and even the New Hawaii.

I am a Canadian Chartered Accountant with a wide variety of business experience, having worked in England for Cooper's and Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers), as a consultant to the RCMP, and most recently as an administrator of boutique criminal law firms in Vancouver. With some foresight and good luck, my wife Bonnie and I established our first Re/Max office in Tamarindo over seven year ago. With the help of our other daughter Lisa, who holds a M.I.S., we have added three more offices along this beautiful coast: Re/Max Los Tres Amigos in Playa Hermosa, Re/Max Ocean Peninsula Premier in Playa Panama, and in January 2007, Re/Max Ocean Heights in Brasilito.

Our goal since the beginning has been to translate a Canadian work ethic to the tropics, and though there have been challenges, our hard work, persistence, and dedication to customer service has benefited our family, our businesses, and our clients. We look forward to working with you to find whatever you are looking for here in Costa Rica, whether it be an investment, a second-home, or a whole new way of life. Pura Vida!
