All light fixtures were taken from photos of period Spanish Colonial houses and reproduced by hand in Costa Rica. The exterior doors are equipped with handmade wrought-iron deadbolt locks. There are also decorative wrought-iron exterior window protectors and these were all based on Spanish Colonial design and hand-made.
