PGA TOUR RESERVA CONCHAL
ESSENTIAL COSTA RICA CLASSIC PGA TOUR RESERVA CONCHAL, GUANACASTE, COSTA RICA MAY 1 - 7, 2017

Attention golfers! Do you want to watch the top golfers in the world? Or play on the same golf course as the PGA Tour? For the first time, the PGA Tour is coming to Costa Rica as part of the PGA Latin American Season that includes 18 tournaments in 12 countries. The PGA Tour will play Reserva Conchal, a 2,600 acre luxury beachfront golf community on Costa Rica's North Pacific Guanacaste coast, from May 1 - 7, 2017.
The Essential Costa Rica Classic will be the first-ever PGA Tour tournament in Costa Rica and is being sponsored by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT). The PGA Tour Reserva Conchal Costa Rica includes 144 professional players from more than 25 countries. As the host, Costa Rica is also permitted to invite up to 30 of its own golfers.
The Costa Rica Golf Federation President Maurizio Musmanni is excited about the PGA Tour tournament since it provides an excellent opportunity for Costa Rica to augment its participation in the professional golf scene.
“We want to increase the number of golfers we have here in Costa Rica, and these types of events can help awaken great interest in the sport,” Musmanni states. “With the international coverage that accompanies the event, the country amplifies its international exposure. Costa Rica wants to be seen as a golf destination and that boosts its tourist offerings to international and regional markets.”
Reserva Conchal is a five star Costa Rica real estate community on white sand Conchal Beach. The resort boasts a Westin Hotel, new W Hotel under construction, beachfront club with pool, spa, gym and restaurant, and Conde Nast award-winning Robert Trent Jones II signature "Guerra de Leon" golf course.
Golfing in Costa Rica doesn't get any better than Reserva Conchal's Garra de Leon, a challenging 18 hole, 6956 yard, Par 71 championship course. Guerra del Leon is the oldest golf course on Costa Rica's North Pacific Guanacaste Coast and according to designer Trent Jones II, offers "environmentally sensitive golf at its best."
We own real estate at Reserva Conchal right on the golf course and can confirm that it is spectacularly beautiful with indigenous trees, exotic birds and local wildlife like howler monkeys and pizotes.
